The Toyota Automobile Museum, a cultural facility of Toyota Motor Corporation, will host its 36th Classic Car Festival on Sunday, 15 November at Expo 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park in Nagakute City, Aichi. The community-based event aims to promote and sustain automobile culture.
The festival will offer a wide variety of programs. In addition to a public road parade of approximately 120 privately owned classic cars from Japan, the U.S., and Europe, there will be an exhibition and driving demonstration featuring cars from the museum’s collection and those provided by seven Japanese automakers. There will also be a display of specialty work vehicles. The street parade will start at the museum and travel about 12 kilometers through Nagakute City. Spectators will cheer on this seasonal event along the route to Expo 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. A Toyota 2000GT Roadster will lead the parade.
Festival Theme: “The Widening Web of Automobile Culture”
The festival aims to transcend generations, geographic boundaries, and circles of car enthusiasts. Through this theme, we hope to foster connections among attendees and encourage them to share their appreciation of automobile culture. We hope the event will bring joy to all, including not only car experts and enthusiasts, but also those who rarely come into contact with cars, let alone classic ones. Visitors will enjoy spending time with family and friends while viewing brightly colored classic cars and conversing with their owners. This experience will hopefully spark new interests and discoveries, ensuring the continued growth of automobile culture.
